1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rikaigi (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rikaigi provides real-time audio translation for online meetings. The Service captures audio from browser tabs you explicitly share, transcribes it using third-party AI APIs (Groq), and displays translated text. An optional voice output feature is available.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Record or translate audio without the consent of all participants in the conversation.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary consents from all parties before using Rikaigi in any meeting or conversation.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.

The Free plan is available without a payment method. Pro and Business plans are paid subscriptions with higher monthly usage allowances and paid-only features.

7. Usage Limits

Each plan includes a monthly usage allowance (measured in translation minutes). Usage resets at the start of each calendar month. Free users cannot start new sessions after reaching the limit. Paid users may continue with local fallback translation when paid AI usage is exhausted.

8. Privacy and Data

Audio is streamed directly to Groq's API for transcription and is not stored by Rikaigi. Translated text and transcripts are stored in your account and may be deleted at any time from your session history. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software and design, is owned by Rikaigi. You retain ownership of any content (transcripts, translations) generated from your audio sessions.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Translation accuracy depends on third-party AI models and may contain errors. Do not rely on Rikaigi translations for legal, medical, or safety-critical purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rikaigi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or in-app notice.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
